Warwick drink driver

On Thursday 14 July, a 26-year-old Toowoomba male was pulled over at 3.30am for drink driving on Victoria Street.

As a result, he will appear in court on 1 August.

Car theft

Between 5pm on Wednesday 13 July and 4.30am on Thursday 14 July, a person stole an unlocked Mazda Sedan on Elizabeth Street.

The vehicle, which was parked in the owner’s front yard with keys still inside, was sighted in Toowoomba before the car was found on Saturday at Cranley.

Warwick police acting officer-in-charge Sergeant Cameron Slater said the vehicle was located with some damage to the front and that the offenders were still outstanding.

Albion Street crash

On Saturday at 8.20am, a two-vehicle crash on Albion Street occurred.

Both vehicles were travelling towards Brisbane when a Holden Hatchback attempted to merge into a lane where a heavy vehicle was.

As a result, there was a collision and the Holden spun around into the laneways on the O.O. Madsen Bridge.

There were minor injuries and the hatchback driver was issued with traffic infringement for an unsafe lane change.

Cunningham Highway drug driver

At 4.50pm on Saturday, a 44-year-old Warwick female was found drug driving on the Cunningham Highway at the Easey Street intersection.

As a result, the offender will appear in court on 5 September.

Car break-in

Between midday on Saturday 16 July and 5am on Sunday 17 July, an unauthorised person entered an unlocked vehicle parked outside a resident’s home on Canning Street and stole a credit card and driver’s license.

Maccas scooter theft

At 3.20pm on Sunday, a scooter was stolen from the bike racks at Warwick McDonald’s on Albion Street.

The owner, who was inside, saw four males take his scooter and ride eastbound on Percy Street and as a result, attempted to chase them.

Leslie Park graffiti

At 1.00pm on Monday, it was reported to police that there was graffiti on the toilet blocks and stage at Leslie Park.

CCTV footage captured six young people committing the act and the matter is under investigation.
