McNab, one of Queensland’s largest privately owned companies, has announced a recruitment blitz seeking to employ up to 50 additional tradespeople and labourers across the Darling Downs and Southern Downs, doubling their workforce in the region.
McNab Managing Director Michael McNab said the company had launched the recruitment drive to support the delivery of a large pipeline of work across a range of food, agricultural and industrial projects.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone who lives on the Darling Downs, whether they currently work in construction or another job entirely, there’s never been a better time to join us in an industry set to boom over the coming years,” Michael said.
“For many of the positions on offer, there is no construction experience needed as we can offer fully funded training, equipment tickets as well as transport and accommodation support in some cases — all we ask is for people to bring a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
“We have positions on offer for an immediate start across a large number of trades and labouring jobs, but of course, we’re always on the lookout for great people in any role here at McNab.”
Michael said that across the business there were fifteen new projects either underway or in the pipeline, valued at more than $350 million for leading Australian developers, food producers and property funds.
“Our diversification strategy means we operate across a balanced range of industry sectors and income streams from construction to developments and investments,” he said.
“Thanks to the diverse nature of our pipeline of work and our strong and trusted working relationships with our clients, subcontractors and suppliers, we have come out of the pandemic even stronger than we were before.
