New entertainment for the show

Children will have lots of fun at the hula hoop and circus workshops.

For the first time ever, the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society are bringing Hula Hoop Brisbane’s founder, Kiera Blaney to the show for a mixture of performances as well as two children’s hula hoop and circus workshops. Hula Hooping is a wonderful mix of fun, fitness, dance and confidence building for all ages.

Kiera, a certified Hoop Love Coach has shared her unique workshops and performances around the world. In 2018 she participated in the Performers Without Borders tour in India with a group of international circus performers to inspire locals through performance and teach underprivileged children circus skills.

Some of the things you can expect to see include balloon twisting, stilt walking with hula hoops, gigantic bubbles and later in the evening LED lit up hula hoops. Show visitors will be entertained as they witness amazing hula hoop tricks performed whilst on stilts.

Hula Hoop and Circus Workshops

The free workshops, Kiera says “will create fun, build confidence and encourage participants to step out of their comfort zone and try something new”. There will be enough hula hoops and circus props for each person. After a short hula hoop demonstration and warm up, participants will be guided through interactive hoop and circus play, including tricks such as juggling, poi and plate spinning. More details on performance and workshop times will be available in the show program.
