What a difference a day (or two) makes

What a difference a day makes … or in this case, two days.

On Tuesday last week (28 March) there were many dry, exposed rocks below the little weir near the Stanthorpe Visitor Information Centre, which made it possible to walk right up to the middle of the weir to take a photo.

Not so on Thursday (March 30) when a lunchtime walk showed just how much difference a couple of days can make to the waterways. Stanthorpe had received a little over 100mm rain in the interim and it was enough to change the water’s landscape considerably. There was certainly no chance of standing in the same spot to get a comparison snap. Well, not with dry feet, anyway.
