In a truly magical evening, Weeroona Park played host to an extraordinary turnout for the much-anticipated annual Carols by Candlelight event. The record-breaking crowds were treated to a magical atmosphere under a cloudless sky, as families gathered to immerse themselves in the joyous essence of Christmas.

The crisp night air resonated with melodious renditions, from the classic “Silent Night“ to the soulful notes of “O Holy Night.“ Each musical note wove a tapestry of emotions, kindling the Christmas spirit within the hearts of all in attendance.

The success of Stanthorpe’s Carols by Candlelight was not only marked by the musical celebration but also underscored by the overwhelming support from the local community. Faces of all ages formed a sea of unity, rejoicing in the festivities, embodying the true essence of Christmas.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtably the grand entrance of Santa Claus. Thunderous cheers erupted from the children as the man in red made his grand arrival, spreading cheer, goodwill and lollies among both young and old. But it was his timely reminder for the children to go and hug their parents that was the standout. This heartwarming gesture resonated with all the mothers and fathers in the captivated audience.

As the final notes of the carols wafted into the night, the residents of Stanthorpe departed Weeroona Park with hearts full of warmth and memories destined to endure for years to come.
