With the Stanthorpe Show fast approaching, the community is encouraged to elevate the experience by becoming members of the Stanthorpe Agricultural Society.
The membership not only grants exclusive access to the showgrounds for the duration of the event but also comes with a host of additional perks and benefits.
The Stanthorpe Agriculture Show Society secretary Debbie Hurtz said admission to the grounds throughout the show was just the beginning.
“Adult members receive a membership badge, and for families the admission of children under 18 is free,” she said.
“Also a covered vehicle can gain entry as part of the family or couple membership which is very convenient for families with small children.”
Another significant advantage of being a member is the right to vote at any agricultural society’s annual or special general meeting. This empowers members to actively contribute to the decision-making process and play a role in shaping the future of the society.
The Stanthorpe Agricultural Society has also established reciprocal arrangements with Warwick, Tenterfield, Killarney, and Allora show societies. Members can enjoy seamless access to events by presenting their membership, creating a network of shared experiences among regional communities.
In addition to these privileges, members can anticipate discounted tickets to show society ticketed events, including the Rodeos.
Regular communication, such as newsletters and updates on fairground events, ensures that members stay informed and engaged with the vibrant community offerings.
Membership enrolment is currently open, with the office accessible from 9.30am to 3.30pm every day and the membership deadline is 1 February.
Membership is only $20 for a single or $40 for a family and is valid until 30 November 2024. You can join & pay online or in person at the Show Office. If you pay online, you will need to collect your membership badges from the Office before the Show so you get your free entry. For enquiries call the Show Office on 07 4681 2107 Tues-Thurs.
