The New Year has well and truly kicked in for the Probus Club of Stanthorpe.

Our first meeting is over and we are preparing for our annual changeover in March. Elaine Griffiths will be our new president and she is still looking for volunteers to fill a few spaces on the committee. If you would like to help, please contact her ASAP.

Our guest speaker was Kurt Empen, branch manager of Bendigo Bank. He gave a broad outline of many of the scams that seem to be doing the rounds nonstop. If you see something that sounds too good to be true, it usually is not true. Please be vigilant and contact your bank if in doubt. It is not always possible to recover your lost monies.

Members enjoyed a lovely light lunch at Jamworks last week and look forward to our next outing, which will be the last activity organised by Rob, Denise, Sam and Connie, and we thank them very much for some wonderful times.

Our next meeting is on 27 February at the RSL at 9.15am and we welcome any new members.
