The annual general meeting of Stanthorpe Probus Club will take place on 26 March, when we will farewell our hardworking current committee and welcome a new group of volunteers, headed by incoming president Elaine Griffiths.
Your attendance at this meeting would be appreciated as there are some important presentations to be made.
Our activities committee will say farewell at a luncheon at Vincenzo’s on 14 March, while our incoming committee are busy organizing a barbecue in the park for Thursday 18 April.
Our guest speaker for February was Allan McWatters from the DPI at Applethorpe. He gave a detailed account of happenings right from the very start when that area was just a plain old tree filled paddock. All very interesting, particularly for locals who travel past every day and witnessed the changes into what it has become today.
