The Glenisa Angus Annual Sale has wrapped up, with strong results and a positive response from buyers across Queensland and New South Wales.

Glenisa Angus co-owner Ced Wise expressed satisfaction with the overall outcome.

“Some of our top buyers were long-term repeat clients, and their continued support really endorses our breeding program,” he said.

The sale drew interest from across Central Queensland, Roma, and even a few local buyers. According to Mr Wise, the heifers, introduced to the sale for the first time, were a standout.

“One buyer took home 30 heifers and then added another 10 later on. That was an added bonus for us,” Mr Wise said.

In terms of performance, the sale was on par with previous years.

“Given the current economy, we are very happy with this year’s results,” Mr Wise said.

A total of 38 out of 40 Angus bulls were sold, reaching a top price of $30,000 for Lot 25, purchased by the Nobbs family of Yoman Cattle Co. The bulls averaged $10,473. Additionally, all 50 Commercial Angus Weaner Heifers were sold, topping at $1,900 and averaging $1,760.

Mr Wise is optimistic about the future of the Glenisa program, particularly with repeat buyers returning year after year. He also excitably mentioned that Glenisa has been chosen as a destination for the upcoming World Angus Forum.

“Delegates from all over the world will be visiting us during the forum, which is a huge honour for our team and our breeding program,” he said.

The Glenisa team thanked all buyers, underbidders, and visitors for attending and supporting the sale.
