Clayton farwelled

This week Stanthorpe said farewell to a good bloke, Clayton Howard, far too young to leave us. By his own admission, Clayton was a bit of a larrikin. He loved his cricket, his rugby league, chain saw racing, fishing, family and he didn’t mind the odd rum or two every now and then. A real character and a born entertainer.
I last spoke to Clayton only days before the accident that took his life. We spoke about what he was doing with himself these days. He spoke of how much he was enjoying life, how he loved living at Pikedale and how well things were going in his life.
Like many others, the news of his death came to me as a huge shock. Our deepest sympathies go to his parents Greg and Evelyn and his brother Grant and extended family. If the bloke upstairs had never heard of chainsaw racing, then I’m sure he knows all about it now!
