It has been a very busy week for Premier Darts this week. Firstly the results of Tuesday night’s competition. Most over 80s were thrown by Ray and Yvonne with 12. Most Tons, Warren with 9. Thursday night’s results: Jokers defeated Kermits 5-4; Ghost Busters defeated Thunderbolts 6-3; Bobcats defeated Zebras 6-3; Carjongs defeated NFI 8-1. For Jokers Richard threw 4 tons, 5 pegs and singles win; for Kermits Shelly and Dot both threw 1 ton, 3 pegs and a singles win. For Ghostbusters Frank threw 4 tons, 4 pegs and a singles win. Saturday was a continuation of the AGM meeting. Several important matters were settled and then it was on to playing darts. A great afternoon with some good darts being thrown.
On Sunday we had a visit from the Stanthorpe Darts Association. A great day was had by all, however Stanthorpe won by the margin of 18-17. They did state that we would not be seeing the trophy back in Warwick. Bring it on.
One of the matters decided on at the meeting was that our fees remain the same. $12 registration annually and $3 round fees. This is great news as it allows our disabled and pensioners to participate in the sport without much expenditure.
Good luck this week everyone and it’s good to see some old and new faces.
