Perfect season

Winners of the Darling Downs Interdistrict netball finals held in Toowoomba on Sunday were the Warwick and District 14 years rep netball team consisting of, at back from left, coach Helena Fraser, Bec Lane, Jourdan Ellery, Bella Hoffman, Mikayla Rolfe, Sarah Mantova and manager Leanne Olsen; middle: Dimity Brackin, Ella Harrison and Leah Blakemore; front: Meg Eastwell.

The Warwick and District 14 years representative netball team won the 15/16 years division two finals at Darling Downs Interdistrict in Toowoomba on Sunday.
The 14 years team went through the season undefeated and defeated Goondiwindi in the grand final by 28 goals to 9.
This team was winning the 14 years division one, but was put up to the 15/16 years division two, part way through the season.
This is a great achievement, as some of the Warwick players are still 13 years old, and were playing against some 16-year-old players.
Members of the team were Leah Blakemore, Ella Harrison, Dimity Brackin, Sarah Mantova, Bec Lane, Meg Eastwell, Mikayla Rolfe, Jourdan Ellery and Bella Hoffman.
Leah won the best centre court player of the finals, Dimity won the best defence player and Jourdan won the best shooter.
This has topped off a very successful year for the team, after placing third at the State Age Championships in June.
