Stanthorpe Netball Association’s 11-12 years team have taken out Division Two at the Harts Darling Downs Interdistrict Netball Carnival following the finals at the weekend.
Five representative teams from the Stanthorpe. took part in the finals which were hosted by the Toowoonba Netball Association and saw hundreds of netballers from across the region descend on the Toowoomba Courts.
The Division Two win was a great team effort according to a Stanthorpe spokesperson however Georgia Petrie and Maggie O’Dea were both singled out for inidvidiual honours. Petrie was name the best shooter and O’Dea the best centre.
“Congratulations to all players from the remaining four teams who represented their district well,” the spokesperson said.
Also among the winners were two tams from Warwick. the Warwick Netball Association was also well represented at the finals.
