Football Stanthorpe is back on the park with players from under six to senior men’s and women’s kicking off across the Granite Belt at the weekend.
Group secretary Simon Ho said they are looking to a busy season.
“All the usual divisions, from under six to under 11 (MiniRoos divisions) to junior colts, senior colts, fillies, senior men, and senior women will be run again this year,” he said.
“We hope to increase our participation rate from last year of ~550 players across all ages.
“The six local clubs have been actively recruiting and retaining players, coaches, and volunteers.
“Our clubs Tenterfield FC, Ballandean FC, Stanthorpe International FC, Stanthorpe United Redbacks FC, Stanthorpe Carlton United FC, Stanthorpe City FC.
“We want to wish all those who have moved to the region to consider football as their sport of choice.”
