The more-fancied Dream Team take on under dogs RPC in the much-anticipated Southern Downs Championship Finals at WIRAC from 6pm on Thursday 11 July.
The Dream Team, led by Sam Wall, earned their spot in the finals by defeating the top-seeded Panthers with a score of 57 to 49.
In a surprising turn of events, the sixth place RPC upset the second-place Giddy Gang with a score of 47 to 38.
Dream Team’s captain, Sam Wall, expressed his excitement, stating he’s “looking forward to the Championship game” and is confident in his team’s ability to win.
Competition organiser Pop Dickerson said the RPC team, a predominantly Filipino squad led by Nelson, had demonstrated exceptional chemistry, having played together over the past two seasons.
“This cohesion has been a significant factor in their journey to the finals,” he said.
“Doors open at 5pm. Come one, come all—it’s free.”
