The Warwick and Southern Downs Colts side made a strong impression in the South Burnett this past week as part of the Zone 5 Under 43kg rugby league carnival at Murgon.
The Colts held their own against opponents from across Queensland, including the Central and Western Downs, Cunnamulla, Maranoa and South Burnett across a total of seven games from 30 June to 5 July.
While the team did not take out the overall title, Colts players did earn a number of accolades.
The team had four of its players named on the City squad in the City vs Country game played at the end of the carnival, and three young Colts took home carnival-wide awards for their strong performances throughout the week.
