Southern Downs Rifle Club

ON Sunday 12 January shooters were at the 400-yard range. The day was fine and hot with a changeable wind and mirage that yet again caught out many of the competitors.
The scores for Target Rifle (Iron Sights) out of a possible 105 were; Jim Dickenson 100.5, Geoff Long 98.6, Sid Hart 98.5, Les Pedersen 93.1, Chris Neave 93.4, and three new people attended with scores over one range only, those being Pav Sing 40.2, Jonh Jiwan 40.1 and Hardeep Singh 39.1. Great scores for all three considering it was their first attempt, the club hopes that they will continue to attend.
The scores for F Class (Scope Class) out of a possible 126 were; Beth Caskey 121.9, Murray Reck 121.5, Bob Tyllyer 115.5, David Norman 111, Margaret Taylor 108.3. Paul Findlay 107.3, Barry Russell 105.2, David Taylor 104.2 and Daryl Reck who only completed one and a half ranges 70.1.
It’s great to see members attending from Toowoomba and Pittsworth and the club hopes they enjoy attending.
