Fall from fun ride

A MAN was airlifted by helicopter last week after falling from a carnival ride that was being set-up ahead of the Warwick Rodeo.
The 58-year-old was working on the ride on Thursday afternoon when he slipped and fell approximately three metres.
The steel arm of the ride then fell on top of him.
The Brisbane man suffered a fractured pelvis, fractured right leg and possible spinal injuries.
He was taken to Warwick Hospital just before 6pm where he was met by the Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue crew.
The patient was then airlifted to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile a man in his fifties suffered suspected chest and spinal injuries on Monday after a front end loader rolled backwards down an embankment on a property about 40 kilometers east of Texas.
The Gold Coast rescue chopper was sent to the property about 12.30pm.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
