Sponsors on song

THE Carols in the Park sponsorship family was extended last week with the announcement that the YMCA will commit to sponsorship of the 2014 event.
YMCA facility manager Frederic Meyer has been in town just two weeks, but already he is keen to see the YMCA support the community it serves and major events like Carols in the Park.
“I am looking forward to YMCA bringing great enthusiasm and energy to the Warwick community and this sponsorship will be the perfect opportunity to highlight our services and what we stand for to a large family audience,” Mr Meyer said.
“Carols sponsorship offers us the chance to tell the crowd about all the positive services and programs the YMCA offers. Along with running aquatic and recreation facilities we are also leaders in delivering programs for outside school hours care and camps like the one at Leslie Dam.”
Organiser Tracy Vellacott said that in a climate of diminishing budgets, it was heartening to see another business come on board the sponsorship program.
“As you can imagine, the major expense of carols revolves around big sound and lighting that can reach right back into the park and sponsorship helps to ensure we logistically have what we need for everyone to hear the beautiful carols and Christmas songs that our volunteer cast and crew perform,” she said.
