WOODENBONG archer Remy Leonard has taken out the Queensland State series.
Competing in the 3D National Championships held at Murrurundi recently, Remy won the Youth Male Release 15-17 division as well as the Queensland State Series.
He was also named ‘Shooter Of The Year’ for the same division for the third consecutive year.
Winning ‘Shooter Of The Year’ three years in a row entitles Remy to gain partial funding by 3DAAA to fund his trip to compete in the IBO World Championship in Pennsylvania in August next year.
Remy was also presented with a trophy for the 3D Indoor Nationals that were held in July where he set a new national record.
At the 3D National Championships younger sister Tabitha, already following in Remy’s footsteps, came second in the Cub Female division and also won the Queensland State Series for her division this year.
At the Woodenbong Community Christmas Party, Remy drew the winner of the fabulous $300 value petrol cards raffle the family had been running and the winner was Matt Sellers of Ballina, and second prize was a Frostbite Chest Cooler and the winner was Tyler Haud of Brisbane.
To assure his trip to Turkey and to realise his dreams, Remy is looking for sponsorship and donations.
To support Remy you can donate by way of bank deposit into the Woodenbong Central School’s administration account: BSB 032 001 Account: 156839 for Remy Leonard.
