WORLD Archery Indoor Championship bronze medallist Remy Leonard has had another big week competing in the Youth National Championships near Penrith, Sydney last week.
The Woodenbong archer won three gold medals in the cadet male compound, field target and target division.
He went on to compete in the Australian Youth Open later in the week at the same venue.
The 16-year-old was competing against archers up to age 20 years, and he came out on top, winning a gold medal in the individual compound division.
Younger sister Tabitha, age 12 years, also competed in the same Youth National Championships and won two Bronze medals in the footsteps of her brother.
Coming up during the school holidays, Remy is heading to New Zealand for the Trans-Tasman Cup held every two years.
Hopefully, he will help keep that trophy in Australia for another couple of years, his father Chris Leonard said.
“The community has been a real support, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped in any way and or donated money toward Remy’s goals,” Chris said.
“Community support in whatever way possible is always welcome and appreciated to get Remy to his National and International events.”
