Beating the fear of failure

Jeremy Staples aims to break down the fear of failure.

HAVE you ever experienced a failure in life that turned out to be something good?
Failure:Lab is an international movement showcasing personal stories of failure.
This one-of-a-kind format features a diverse blend of storytelling, music, theatre and audience interaction.
Riding 999 kilometres on his bicycle from Brisbane to Sydney to travel to the main event as part of Vivid Sydney, Jeremy Staples will be stopping off in the Southern Downs, starting at the Warwick Art Gallery on 4 May at 5.30pm.
Along with sharing his own Positive Failures, Staples will invite local creatives to share their own experiences with the aim to break down the fear of failure. This intimate event will no doubt inspire and encourage all forms of creativity.
“I admit, I was slightly nervous at the idea of such a long bike ride, yet after talking with Jeremy it is clear that he is a professional creative risk taker! Jeremy has plotted out the towns and cities on the way to stop and collect your positive failure story and he will create a special work to be presented at the (Sydney) event on 28 May,” said Simone Sheridan, Failure:Lab Sydney Organiser.
Jeremy will be speak at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery on Friday, 6 May at 6pm.
The gallery is looking for creative types to come along to this interactive evening and discuss the positives of artistic failure.
Simply turn up to the events for an informal discussion with like-minded people.
