Cushioning experience for breast cancer patients

ZONTA Club of Warwick Inc president Jacinta Fromm presented St Andrew’s Hospital Toowoomba breast cancer ward with breast cushions recently.
The Zonta Club of Warwick Inc, also donates cushions to Toowoomba’s St Vincent’s Hospital as well as the Toowoomba Hospital.
The production of breast cushions is a Queensland wide Zonta project and Warwick club produces about 300 a year.
The breast cushions are made to specifications for the comfort of women who have surgery for breast cancer.
The Warwick cushions are made by The Women in Custody who fulfil the needs of more than the women whom they are given to.
The Women in Custody feel they are helping by completing this task.
Zonta is a leading global organisation of women and men, empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
District 22, which Warwick Club is a part of, provides a voice to the Australian Government on current women’s issues, domestic and family violence and human rights for women as contained in the UN Convention on the elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women.
The Zonta Club of Warwick fund-raises during the year for the Breast Cushion project and other projects which includes Birthing Kits.
