VOLUNTEERS were delighted when former Deputy Prime Minister and National Party Leader Tim Fischer dropped in to the Stanthorpe Heritage Museum on a fact finding mission on Wednesday afternoon 15 June.
The former Farrer MP puts a huge emphasis on celebrating the end of WWI and our victory, according to those at the museum on Wednesday.
“While the commemoration of the various battles is vitally important, this is our opportunity to remember the jubilance felt at the end of a five year war – and the return of our heroes to Australian soil,” he told the volunteers.
