‘Primal Energy’ art exhibition
Artist in Residence at The School of Total Education, and well-known local artist Chris Hulme is currently holding an exhibition of his works entitled ‘Primal Energy’ in the Vijayadev Yogendra Auditorium.
The exhibition will be available from now until Friday 26 May. View artworks by contacting Chris on 0413 621 943.
“The exhibition has been two years in the making,” says Chris smiling.
The planning, experimenting and creating of these 60-plus pieces, has been a time where Chris’s style has really transformed. It’s obvious when speaking to him about these artworks how much he’s enjoyed the whole process of co-ordinating this exhibition. Chris’s experiences and philosophies about life have really shaped his works.
Through his practice of Yoga and Aikido he has developed a sense of balance, harmony, spatial awareness and energy.
His pieces demonstrate these elements through the use of colour particularly, line, shape, symmetry and patterning. Many of the pieces on display also reflect personal symbolism, personal experiences and memories from traveling in Japan (- interviewed by Jo Collins).
