Grave concerns for great grandchildren

A Warwick resident holds grave concerns for his great grandchildren if the Slade Campus is not purchased for educational purposes.

Ron Farrell’s great grandchildren will be making their way to Warwick State High School in years to come; a facility Mr Farrell believes is overcrowded now, without considering the possible addition of Year 7.

“I saw 40-odd students sitting on the concrete outside of the school having their lunch just the other day,” he said.

Mr Farrell claims this would be due to the lack of space in the school for students to relax in.

The

Mr Farrell said the Slade Campus should be purchased and used as a middle campus for the Warwick State High School.

He will be a part of the local contingent that will meet with the Director-General of Education and the Deputy Director General – Infrastructure Services today in Brisbane as a final attempt to save the Slade Campus.

Southern Free Times had interviews scheduled with concerned parents, who later cancelled. They too believed the high school was overcrowded.
