The Vintage Motoring Club Inc enjoyed the hospitality of the Rose City at the weekend when 15 vintage vehicles graced its streets and surrounding countryside.
The club’s members toured historic Assmanshausen Winery and the Abbey of the Roses, where they were welcomed with morning teas. One could have believed they had returned to the 1920s on Sunday morning, when the participants were aptly dressed in the period costume befitting their beautifully restored cars.
The warm Warwick sun shone to enhance the picturesque landscape of the Darling Downs as the club cruised to the Leslie Dam and Wheatvale on Saturday, and Tannymorel and Mt Colliery on Sunday.
A hot lunch at the Yangan Hotel with entertainment by a local country and western duo completed the Winter Cruise in Warwick.
