Geitz heads to the slammer

Queensland Firebirds Laura Geitz, Amy Steel and Chelsea Pitman are being locked up!
But it’s all in the name of charity; the three Firebirds are participating in the PCYC’s popular Time 4 Kids.
As part of their lock up, they need to raise $500 bail each to get out of jail.
Geitz and Steel will be locked up in the Queen Street Mall tomorrow while Pitman will be locked up at Garden City, Mt Gravatt on Thursday, April 19, for an hour and they need your donations to get out of jail!
Time 4 Kids is a fundraising initiative bringing together community leaders, businesses, celebrities and the media to raise awareness and funds for PCYC across Queensland.
Participants volunteer to be detained in a portable jail cell under the supervision of a police officer and need to raise bail in order to be released.
PCYC has been supporting Queensland youth for more than 62 years, largely thanks to community fundraising events such as Time 4 Kids.
The donations raised will go towards leadership and development programs and crime prevention programs for youth in need of assistance and direction, because with the right support, the youth of today can become our leaders of the future.
The generosity of Queenslanders has enabled PCYC to assist youth at-risk and many thousands of aspiring young people to become leaders and achieve success.
Please donate to get the Firebirds out of jail in time for their next home game! Otherwise Coach Rose Jencke won’t be very happy.
Donations can be made by downloading a registration form from www.firebirds.net.au and emailing it to info@netballq.org.au For more information about Time 4 Kids visit www.facebook.com/PCYCQld
