What future for energy?

Renewable energy will be the focus of this month’s gathering for the Border Landcare Organic Group (BLOG).
The presenter will be Martin Donnellan who has had 10 years experience as an energy analyst and renewable energy consultant.
He will examine the alternatives of solar, wind, hydroelectric, tidal energy and biofuels. He will also look at the issues of energy storage, including batteries, fuel cells and thermal storage, and conclude with a consideration of the long-term environmental, social and economic implications.
The presentation will be held on Saturday at the Wallangarra School of Arts hall.
The program will begin with morning tea at 10am and Mr Donnellan’s talk will begin at 11am. This will be followed by lunch about 12.30pm. Bring lunch or morning tea to share, cup and plate.
Remember also to bring along any excess produce or plants for the Bring & Buy stall. Visitors are most welcome. Information on BLOG activities can be found at www.granitenet.com.au/groups/environment/blog
