The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter flew to Warwick on Friday afternoon to airlift a 26-year-old male who had fallen from his bike whilst racing at Morgan Park Raceway.
RACQ CareFlight air crewman Mark Arthur said the man, from Brisbane, was racing about 200km an hour when he fell.
“He was going as fast as he could and has somehow come off the bike at that high speed,” he said.
“He suffered some fractured ribs and a broken left wrist in the accident.
“We airlifted him to the PA Hospital in Brisbane for further treatment and he is currently in a stable condition.”
