Members of Drawing Boards Australia in action.

Brisbane group Drawing Boards Australia came to Warwick on Sunday to host a skate workshop for young people on the Southern Downs.
There were skating demonstrations from five professional skaters:  Donny Fraser, Ivan Vargas, Flynn Bundy, Steve Ward and Aaron Cooper at the the Warwick Skate Bowl in Queens Park.
Drawing Boards said, “We quite like working with communities in rural areas, as skateboarding is an ideal way to break down the barriers for some young people.”
In conjunction with the workshop, there was also a stencil art activity (spray-paint your deck) running during the skate event..
“This is a great event for the young people in the community to take part in during the school holidays,” said Hailey Cosh, Council’s Youth Development Officer.
