Horses hit the streets

On Sunday, October 21, seven riders from the Warwick Montrose Troop were able to participate in the street ride from Queens Park and along Palmerin Street to Percy Street.
On their return, they stopped off at Leslie Park and were greeted by admiring folks, old and young. The purpose of the ride was to familiarise both riders and horses with the route in preparation for the Warwick Rodeo Street Parade this Saturday.
The troop banner was held by Nella Kuhn and Jason Eastwell, who led the troop on foot. The riders were Ray Kuhn with the flag on Pepper, Liz Saunders on Honey, Joan Willshire on Cossi, Julian Free on Dui, Mark Saunders on George, Matt Mauch on Doc’s Karri, and Paul Eastwell on Mustang. Trish Kuhn, Murray Cooper and Sarah Furgeson accompanied the troop on foot as ground crew.
To enquire about the 11th Light Horse Warwick Montrose Troop, phone 4661 7971 and talk to Trish or Ray.
