2010 saw the inauguration of ‘Twisted and Tangled’, a Granite Belt fashion and textile design event. Back by popular demand, ‘Twisted and Tangled 2011’ promises to be a great evening of clothes, creativity and fun.
This year it will be held on Friday, April 1, at Mason’s Winery.
Guests for the night will enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival, followed by nibbles and a fashion parade of locally made one-off garments and accessories.
Once again, the Twisted and Tangled committee has gathered together some talented ‘makers’ and enthusiastic models to showcase the extent of our local talent in the textile field.
The parade promises to introduce some new designers as well as featuring fresh new ideas from textile artists seen in 2010.
There is something for everyone at Twisted and Tangled 2011 – garments to suit all ages and all sizes and a range of accessories including hats, ties and jewellery.
Some of the garments and accessories will be available for purchase on the night, while others will highlight the skills of local textile artists who make outfits to order.
Many of the items will remain on display for the weekend of April 2-3, allowing a second look at these beautiful wearables.
The night starts at 6pm, with the parade to start at 7pm. At $35 a head, this is a wonderful opportunity to have a great night out, with a glass of bubbly, lovely food, some beautiful, one-off, crafted items and the chance to pick up a unique garment or accessory.
