Allora’s John Denny, Ted Cowley, Lesley Telford, Mick Maw and John Cowley will put their special brand of entertainment on some of our favourite Australian songs in what is set to be an afternoon to delight all ages.
Sing Australia!, an initiative of St Patrick’s Parish, Allora, is a community event designed to bring people together with uplifting music, and a quintessentially Australian smoko including lamingtons, pavlovas, Anzac biscuits, meat pies and ham sandwiches all washed down with a good old cup of tea.
Supporting the well-loved band this year are true blue Allora local, Ron Smart and poet, Frank Roache.
Music coordinator, Lesley Telford, has also spliced the 2011 program with a couple of numbers featuring the students from St Patrick’s School Choir – a group whose rising star is gaining attention far and wide.
Tickets to this one-off event are available at the door for $10 per adult, $2 per child or $20 for a family.
The event will take place in Allora’s Community Hall on Sunday, July 31, starting at 1.30pm.
