Rock and Roll all night long

Take the opportunity to shake off the winter chills with some good ol’ 50s Rock’n’Roll on Saturday, August 27 and get St Mary’s Hall jumping. Come along with the family and join in the fun.
There will be great music from rockin’ locals Alan Taylor and A2B, smooth-voiced Roger Knox and fresh from the Gympie Music Muster, ace guitarist Buddy Knox.
Dress up and dance or just come along to hear the great music. There are prizes for the best dressed and plenty of great raffle prizes to be won.
The night is being organised as a fundraiser for local singers, Coral Brown and Del Charles, to join a singing tour to Uganda in September. They will join a group of 40 singers from around Australia who will be performing at various events in Kampala with the African Children’s Choir and other choirs. The tour has been organised by not-for-profit charity “Kwaya” to support an orphanage in Kampala. The choirs will also be helping out with the building of a schoolroom at the orphanage.
The fun begins at 6.30pm at St Mary’s Hall, Wood St, Warwick. Tickets are $10 at the door, children can enter with a gold coin donation, includes supper. For more information, call Norma Jean 0424 848 060 or Roy 0419 646 370.
