Search for Miss Country Girl Australia starts in Warwick

The Woman’s Day Miss Country Girl Australia national model search competition will be at Rose City Shoppingworld tomorrow and Saturday.
Girls who enter have the opportunity to begin their modelling career, to win some prizes, have some fun and learn about modelling deportment and etiquette and what the industry is all about.
2010 Miss Country Girl Australia winner Karlee O’Donnell is now signed next to Miranda Kerr at Chic Management.
“Miss Country Girl Australia gives young women in our area the chance to break into the modelling industry, gain self confidence and, most importantly, have some fun,” Rose City Shoppingworld marketing manager Stevie McGregor said.
“Rose City Shoppingworld is very excited to be hosting such an event that in the past locals would have had to travel to the cities to enter,” Mr McGregor said.
“We encourage anyone in the age categories to enter the competition and give it a go. A number of our fashion retailers will be involved, and the catwalk will be set up out the front of Bi-Lo with room for an audience, so we hope people will come and support our local girls in this exciting competition,” he said.
Heat 1 begins at 11.30am tomorrow. Heat 2 is on Saturday at 11.30am, with the final being held on Saturday at 1pm. The winner of the Warwick finals will then go on to compete in Sydney.
