Beccy Cole to perform in Warwick

After taking home two Golden Guitars at the 2012 40th Jayco CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia in January, golden girl Beccy Cole has been delighting fans on the “Songs & Pictures” tour across Australia and now it’s Warwick’s turn to see this star.
Taking home the top awards for Female Artist of the Year and Vocal Collaboration of the Year (with Kasey Chambers) has brought Beccy’s Golden Guitar total to an impressive nine.
Add to this her three Gold records, 12 number one singles, two Entertainer of the Year awards and a legion of loyal fans, and Beccy has again proven she is here to stay.
The 2011 release of Beccy’s stunning album “Songs & Pictures” has already produced two number one singles.
The first single “Shiny Things” rocketed to the top of the country music radio charts (CMR) and the album’s standout track and second single, “Waitress”, which was released a week after it, won Beccy the Female Artist of the Year Golden Guitar, also recently hit number one on both the country music radio charts and on CMC’s Top 50, as well as earning an “APRA Song Of The Year” nomination.
Joining Beccy on her tour is “the darling of Australian Country Music”, Catherine Britt.
Catherine took home the 2012 Single of the Year Golden Guitar with her incredible number one single, “Sweet Emmylou”.
Catherine spent six years living in Nashville performing and recording with the world’s finest – she was and still is the youngest Australian to ever perform on the famous Grand Old Opry. Her 2010 self titled release produced three number one singles and earned Catherine an ARIA nomination for Country Album of the Year.
Catherine is placing finishing touches on a brand new release and will showcase her brand new songs on this tour.
A long-time fan of Catherine’s music, Beccy Cole has encouraged and endorsed this talented artist since she burst onto the country music scene in 2000 at the age of 14.
This show is set to delight audiences with a blend of Beccy’s humour, energy and heartfelt songs and Catherine’s heart-tugging musical sensibilities.
There’s no doubt that audiences can also expect a duet or two!
Award winning singer/songwriter Lyn Bowtell will add to this girl power when she opens the show with songs from a brand new album of her own, “Secret Songs”, which is sitting in the Top 20 of the ARIA Australian Country Album charts.
They will perform at the Warwick RSL Memorial Club on Thursday, June 21, at 8pm. Tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12. They are available from the club on
