Heartfelt thanks

Last week, after receiving advice regarding the flood threat in Goondiwindi, Kaloma Home for the Aged Ltd evacuated 50 residents to Inglewood and Warwick. Needless to say, this was a very difficult decision and a very stressful and exhausting experience for Kaloma’s elderly residents.
Fifteen of our residents were welcomed to Akooramak and The Oaks for four days. The staff at these facilities responded splendidly, and made the Kaloma residents, and the Kaloma staff who travelled with our residents feel at home in a caring environment. Nothing was too much trouble, and extra staff and resources were made available at very short notice to ensure all needs were met.
On behalf of the members of the Board of Kaloma, and the Goondiwindi community, I wish to express our heartfelt thanks.
