Large roundabout needed for the Eight Mile intersection

Plainly, where it is necessary for a vehicle to stop and give way to traffic from the right, such as occurs if travelling south from Toowoomba, many accidents are inevitable.
The solution is really quite simple and comparatively inexpensive. A quite large roundabout needs to replace the current ridiculous and dangerous arrangement.
Large roundabouts work very well in some other countries on fairly busy intersections. Such an alteration needs also to be implemented at the northern and southern ends of the Stanthorpe bypass, which are equally potentially hazardous.
Our Masters (and Mistresses) have wasted millions of dollars obtaining expert advice on how to construct these intersections. I am not an expert, but I believe that common sense can sometimes replace expertise.
John Moore,
Stanthorpe
