Leadership absent on the upholding of moral standards

I agree with the sentiments of Peter Wiggins (SFT July 7) on marriage between a man and a woman. A child needs a natural mother and father. It must be very confusing for those children who have two mothers or two fathers.
But where are the churches on this issue? Leadership is seriously absent on the upholding of moral standards.
If a number of our politicians don’t bother to marry their heterosexual partners, why are homosexuals so adamant in their pursuit of the ‘right to marry’? – just making a point, are they not?
