Handcuffed to banks

History relates that, no sooner was the Dutch General William of Orange sitting upon the throne of England in the 17th century, he persuaded the British Treasury to borrow money from the Dutch money lenders to fight the British Empire building wars. This exercise confirms the statement of Sir Josiah Stamp, president of the Bank of England who stated in the 1920s: “Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin. Bankers own the world. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money … and with the flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again …. Take this great power away from bankers and all great fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, because this would be a better and happier world to live in … But if you want to be the slaves of bankers, pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create (your) money.” Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England in 1875 stated: “The issue which has swept down the centuries, and which will have to be fought sooner or later, is the People vs. The banks.” Jim Shanks, Byron Bay
