I was hoping to be able to ask Campbell Newman where he stood on mining when he visits Stanthorpe, but I am extremely disappointed to find that the only way to do so is to attend a luncheon at some expense.
This raises questions about the attitude of Newman and the Liberal National Party (LNP) towards democracy. I expect to be able to get access to the would-be premier without having to pay money.
