I wish to make known the warm feeling I received when attending the flood information morning last Saturday. The consultants have done a lot of work, the lady I spoke to went to great lengths to answer all my questions. I was pleased to see their mapping of the 1976 and 2011 floods to harm more people upstream. I thank the council for the opportunity to attend and hope they will see fit to consider the recommendations.
On another note, we received our insurance policy renewal from Australian Pensioners Insurance this week and the policy is only marginally dearer than last year, despite reimbursing us a considerable payout after the floods. I commend Australian Pensioners Insurance to anyone seeking integrity and friendly service.
