Coal Concern

One only has to look on YouTube to see what a disaster CSG already is to communities just up the road at Dalby, Chinchilla and Kingaroy.
According to one Southern Downs Council representative, Council has indicated to State Government they want Warwick to welcome FIFO (fly in-fly out) mine workers.
Council apparently welcomes open coal and CSG mining rather than consider its own local population.
Mining is already proven to render properties unliveable, unworkable, unsaleable and for rents to spiral upwards.
On the driest continent on earth, the State Government wants to drill 40,000 gas wells through our most reliable water supply – pumping down a cocktail of carcinogenic chemicals to produce methane gas.  This is climate change ideology gone mad.
The Great Artesian Basin and some of our best food producing land is to be sacrificed to stop China and India burning coal.
Sadly, both main sides of politics think it OK because there is a lot of money to be made by some.
Campbell Newman may call me hysterical for this point of view, but to people in the firing line, it’s like playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun.
