Not so merry Christmas

I have known Violet, and her late husband Warren, since 1987 and found the pair of them to be hard working folk.  To now read that the recycling business, which started on a shoe string, has now been closed and I could guess that it is more a matter of perhaps certain parties don’t believe that Vi can carry on the business, which I believe is a whole lot of tommy rot.
Vi was right there at the start of Warrens’ business getting off the ground and has helped where she could. The closure of this recycling business after so recently losing her husband I feel is most unfair. This business got off the ground, not from big business stepping in, but by a local bloke doing his bit for his community. Every town needs a recycling station and Tenterfield is no exception. If memory serves me right, I think Vi said that Warren worked right up until the evening before he died. From what I can understand, most recycling stations only work five and a half days, whereas I have known Warren to work late on Saturdays and sometimes going up on Sundays to make sure what needed to be done was done in time for the loads to go out.
I agree with you Vi, what a Christmas present!
