Am I that stupid that I am missing something, or what?
Why would WIRAC, a publicly funded facility, be closed over one of its busiest trading periods? Do the powers that be not care about the loss of income? How could anyone justify the closure?
Why would these works not be undertaken at a different time, like the least busiest part of the year? Is it any wonder WIRAC is losing money and being funded by the Southern Downs Regional Council?
I call on all council candidates standing for the upcoming elections to publicly declare that they will stand for the leasing of WIRAC to private enterprise like most, if not all, other swimming pools in Queensland. Why hasn’t there been outrage to this? Surely we are not this numbed to council waste of public money.
