God’s will

What deductions should reasonable Australians make from recent events?
Our soldiers are killed by pagans with no interest in human rights or democracy while their brothers sneak into our land for government handouts and tax—payer funded security for life.
Some politicians protected by body-guards and servants waste our resources and spend our nation’s children into debt before languishing on huge tax-payer funded pensions.
Meantime ruined Australian farmers lose their homes. E.g., Cubbie Station built huge water storage dams with a capacity equal to 2/3 of Sydney’s annual water consumption but has just been sold to Chinese. (Apparently only Alan Jones and Barnaby Joyce care?)
God tells us a way out of our situation in 2 Chronicles 7:14. “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” But see God’s unchanged promise in verses 19 & 20. Oh dear!
The prophet Jeremiah could have been talking to us when he warned,
“And it will be when you say, ‘Why does the LORD our God do all these things to us?’ then you shall answer them, ‘Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve aliens in a land that is not yours.’ ”
