Young voice features at vineyard

Singing outdoors in front of a live audience of more than 1000 guests could be considered daunting by some, but local artist Matt Manahan is ready to take it in his stride.
Opera in the Vineyard is only a couple of weeks away and preparations are well under way to ensure that this fabulous charity event happens without a hitch.
Opera Queensland have prepared a magical program featuring internationally renowned artists, Emma Matthews, Virgilio Marino and Andrew Collis.
Also preparing for his first appearance at Opera is well known local talent Matt Manahan who is the next young artist invited by the Stanthorpe Rotary Club to appear.
“Asking talented young locals to perform at Opera is an initiative we began a number of years ago,” said Angelo Puglisi, Stanthorpe Rotarian and Ballandean Estate owner.
“We have been amazed by the wealth of talent we have in the region and are happy to give these young folk a unique opportunity to perform for our audience.”
Matt has been performing for many years and was recently honoured by being named a Young Ambassador for Opera Queensland. In this role, he and four other ambassadors, meet regularly to share their thoughts on young people and Opera.
It is not too late to book tickets to see Matt perform as tickets are still available by calling the winery or booking online.
The organisers of Opera would like to wish Matt the best of luck for his performance and look forward to welcoming him back.
