Bottom line

It seems that there is alot of misinformation put out. Some things don’t change.
Much has been said about the “boat people” and how Australia is impacted or not impacted. The bottom line is still the same. These people are allowed to stay and undergo a two- to three- year process to determine whether their claim of refugee status is valid. All the while, Australia must house, feed, educate their children and take care of any medical needs. Australians are paying their expenses during this process. After they are approved, they are then set up with somewhere to live and put on Centrelink benefits. All of this is again paid by Australians.
I came to Australia as an immigrant and it costs me over $3000 to apply and go through medicals to see if I would be granted residency. During the two-year process I was not allowed to work and I received no housing, food, or Medicare help. I’m not complaining – I think this process is fair.
The Greens want to raise the intake to 25,000 for refugees next year – they will send Australia bankrupt! The Greens also are pushing for the carbon tax – another way they will send the country bankrupt!
I will never vote for the Greens.
